Sheikh Shaduli Syed Abdul Qadir Maulana Makki (QS) (Mahi Sheikh)

Among the Sheikhs and Mashaikhs of Shadhuli Tariqa, one of the prominent sufi scholar was Sheikh Muhammad Fassi (QS). His eldest son was Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim Fassi (QS). Sheikh Shadhuli Syed Abdul Qadir Maulana Makki (QS) came to Kerala from the holy city of Makka in 1922 as caliph or successor of Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim Fassi (QS). Sheikh came and lived in a place called Mahi.

Sheikh Hussain Baqri (R)

Among the disciples of renowned sufi scholar Sheikh Muhammad Fasi Makki, Sheikh Hussain Baqri was selected to be Caliph. He migrated from Makka to Kerala for preaching and propagating Islam. He lived briefly in Cochin around Kalvatti masjid during the second half of 1800s. He imparted the knowledge of Islam with its spiritual dimension to people. He instructed and trained them based on the individual spiritual level.

This noble sheikh was born in 1857/1273 in a place called Uddaram near Kasargod district of Kerala State in India. He was educated and gained insight in the subject of Deen al Uloom by Padyoor Muhammad Musliyar (QS), Ponnani Pazhayagath Zainuddin Kutty Makhdum (QS), Bawa Musliyar (QS) and Ahmad Shirazi (QS). During the time of education Sheikh also worked in Dars of Ponnani Juma masjid.

Qutub zaman Sheikh Shadhuli Muhammad Al Fassi (QS)’s son Sheikh Shamsuddin Fassi (QS) followed the footsteps of his father. Sheikh Shamsuddin Fassi (QS) lived and lead people to a spiritual life. Sheikh Ibrahim Al Fassi (QS) is the eldest son of Sheikh Shamsuddin Fassi (QS). This prominent sufi scholar played a pivotal role in preaching Shadhuli Tariqa and thereby transforming the lives of people. His son Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Fassi QS followed Sheikh’s path. Sheikh Abdul Qadir Maulana Makki (QS), Sheikh Tajuddin Abdul Rahman Shadhuli are successors of Sheikh Muhammad Ibrahim Fassi (QS).
