Sheikh Shaduli Umar Baqari (QS), a native of Kuppam, Taliparamba, Kannur, was a disciple of Sheikh Mohammed Fazi (QS) and the Caliph or successor of Shaikh Hussainul Bakhari (R), the founder of the Baqariyya branch of Shadhuliyya Tariqa. On the night of 29th Ramadan in 1926 a Shadhuli Hadhra was organized in Kalvatti Juma Masjid in Fort Kochi. In the last sitting of this hadhra this beloved Sheikh passed away from this world. It was through him that the Shadulia Bakhariyya series spread in many parts of Kerala. He was later known as * Umar Bakri * as he was a member of the Shaduliya Bakriya sect. Many people took oaths from him. He was in constant touch with Kochi and focused on the well-being of the projects started by his Sheikh there. Sheikh Ismail Uddarami (QS) is caliph or successor of Sheikh Umar Musliyar (QS).
